Revisiting Florence ! Michaelangelo’s marvellous world famous statue of David. Unveiled September 1504 AD
In Florence free concerts in Piazzas for everyone. So very civilised! Love the vibe here. Tourism initiatives super efficient.

Of all the most ridiculous things I have done on my life this one ranks near the top 😎 Loved Pisa. Loved the Duomo. Incredible Italy. 32 years of love.

Nicolas Ceccarelli. And my favourite Italian wines. Nebbiolo grapes. Dinner in Europe's most luxurious hotel. Four Seasons Florence. Drop dead decadence.

Siena Tuscany! One more enchanting Italian city explored with nephew Shahen. The tall tower at Piazza Del Campo stood guard against invaders to protect the Duomo Cathedral situated behind (not featured in this post). Italy continues to pull at my heart strings after 25 visits here. Viva Italia

Rome. Today's lunch at home. 3 months air dried Bresaola with Rucola leaves. Zucchini flowers. 90 minutes slow cooked country tomatoes. Frascati white wine. Tx my brother Massimo Vanini for 37 years of love.

Guess who came to dinner? Sagarika the chanteuse who now lives in Rome! Delighted to reconnect after ten years. At my favourite restaurant, the famous Piperno in Rome's Jewish district.

Thursday lunch. Rome. Chef Massimo shows Shahen how pasta is done in true Roman style. What a marvellous education of Parmegiano Reggiano and how al dente pasta should not stick together. Spaghetti al Pesto. Tuna fantasie salad. Vermentino white wine from Tuscany

Rome. Friday 28th. Lunch at home. Shahen learns to make Sardines salad with parsley and garlic. Plus Spaghetti con cozze (clams). Oodles of pura virgini Olive oil made on private farms for Massimo. Vernaccia white wine is unique to San Gimigniano and also Sardignia. Saluti. From my most beloved city in the world.
